Desperado was an a popular country  / old rock and roll band based out of Avoca, Wisconsin. The band’s leader was also the lead singer and the bass guitarist Ann Oman. Ann was on of the personable people that everybody liked and her personality was evident on stage as well. Ann booked the band, picked the musicians in the band a kept the band very busy playing clubs, weddings and private parties. The band had a faithful following the traveled wherever the band traveled and that made the club owners very happy.

   Members of the band shown above are: (left) Fred Laundrae / lead guitar and vocals, Bob Taylor / drums, Ann Oman / bass and vocals, Roddy Dull / guitar & vocals , and Bill Becker keyboards and sound. Ann retired from playing in the early 80s and the rest of the band members went on to play with other area groups.
