As musicians, many of us wish that we could write and perform our own
music. And it would be even better if we could record all of those
original songs for other to enjoy. Well, dreams like that happen for some.
Marty Cina, a native of Viola, Wisconsin, recently recorded a collection
of Americana Originals and put them on a CD entitled
“Goin’ Home.” The CD was recorded and
mastered in Nashville, Tennessee, and is just now being released to the
public. The very first copies can be purchased on the website www.WisconsinDairyFarmers.com. Marty is planning a tri-state tour to promote the CD sometime in the first part of 2014. The tour will include live
interviews with many local radio stations and live preview performances
at several casual venues in those areas. Short previews of some tracks
are available for listening on WisconsinDairyFarmers.com
as well. Make sure to watch for Marty Cina performing in your area this
coming year.

This
year, many of the venues in southern Wisconsin experienced the loss of
another fine musician. Larry E. \"Butch\" Wayne, Jr., age 52, passed
away on June 4, 2013 at his home in rural Woodman. He
was born on October 28, 1960, in Boscobel, Wisconsin, the son
of Larry and Maxine (Smith) Wayne, Sr. He married Sheri Fischer on
October 26, 1996, in Woodman. Butch was very close to his family and
loved spending time with them. He loved playing his drums in
\"The Wayne Brother's Band\" for 39 Years. He was always
overflowing with a good joke. He had a
passion for horses, dogs, and cattle. He
was always eager to donate his time and talent to many in need at
benefits and fundraisers over the years. Butch and brother Doug were
the core of a life long musical act that on many occasions were joined
by many different area musicians over the years. The memories of their
performances will always be fond ones and their talents will never be
forgotten.
